Photo Gallery | Police Look for Vandals Behind Billboard Dummies

Metro Police is looking for help in finding the person or persons responsible for using a billboard for a controversial message.

Last month, people driving to work along I-15 at D Street and again at I-15 and Desert Inn Road and those traveling along U.S. 95 at Sahara Avenue saw dummies hanging from billboards with the message: “Hope You’re Happy Wall St.” and “Dying for Work.”

According to police, the first report of the billboards was just before 2 a.m. Wednesday, August 8, along I-15 at D Street. The Graffiti Investigation Section of Metro’s Gang Crimes Bureau is heading up the investigation. Metro says that a significant amount of evidence has been recovered, but no suspects have been arrested.

Metro is hoping the mannequins found dangling from the billboards will help them track down the vandals. They’re described as light weight and appear to be homemade.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call Metro at 828-3309, or to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 385-5555.
