Boxing superstar Floyd Mayweather appeared Friday morning at the Regional Justice Center to turn himself in and begin his three-month jail sentence.

Mayweather was sentenced to 90 days in jail and 90 days of suspended jail time for his role in a domestic violence incident involving his ex-girlfriend. 

Mayweather pleaded guilty to a reduced charge in Las Vegas Justice Court. He was also sentenced to 100 hours of community service, a $2,500 fine, and 12 months in a long-term domestic violence treatment program.

Mayweather was accused of hitting and threatening his ex-girlfriend, stealing her cellphone and threatening two of their children at her home in September 2010. He could have faced 34 years in prison.
