Students Receive Lessons in Football and Life | Sports & Recreation
Top college coaches along with past and present players in the National Football League are giving lessons in life and in football to students in a free football camp going on at Clark High School.
The camp wraps up Tuesday. It is being put on by LVSportz Foundation and Day of Champions. More than 340 kids between the ages of 7 and 14 registered for the camp. They are learning the basics of football, proper nutrition and healthy lifestyle choices. Day of Champions is also teaching the kids its four main principals of life: respect, trust, discipline and hard work.
"We really work hard on mental preparation, not only on the field, but in the classroom and at home," President of Day of Champions Ken Heupel said.
