The Plaza Hotel and Casino is hosting a job fair next week for the new restaurants Oscar’s and Simpatico.

Oscar’s is a steakhouse named after Las Vegas’ most famous mayor: Oscar Goodman. It will feature the tag line “Beef, Booze, Broads.” Simpatico will be next to the steakhouse; it will be an Italian speakeasy and grill. The job fair will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 16 through Friday, November 19 on the third floor of the Las Vegas Club Hotel and Casino.

The restaurants are looking to fill more than two dozen positions for everything from food server to bar porters. People interested in applying need to fill out an application online at plazahotelcasino.com. Applicants from the Plaza’s job fair this summer will also be considered and need not re-apply.

There will be a separate hiring process for those interested in becoming one of the “Broads” at Oscar’s. The “Broads” will be women designated to visit with the customers. They will be reminiscent of the showgirls that were at Goodman’s side for just about every public appearance he made as mayor. Auditions or “Broad-casting” will be from noon until 3 p.m. Thursday, November 17 and from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Saturday, November 19 inside the Plaza’s showroom. Entertainers interested in auditioning must also apply online first.
