Springs Preserve Offers Summer Camp for Kids | Parents & kids
Kids will have a chance to learn all summer long at summer camps at the Springs Preserve. The programs start Monday and last through August 22.
The camps are open for kids six to 12 years old. They're offered Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with extra-hours care available for a fee. The Springs Preserve, Drama Kids International and YMCA of Southern Nevada are working together on the project. During the camps kids will get a chance to explore all the exhibits at the Springs Preserve including a real archeology dig, plays on the amphitheater stage and swimming at the nearby Heinrich YMCA.
Each week will feature a new activity with experts in a chosen field focusing on education. The cost is $230 a week and $210 a week for Springs Preserve members. Space is limited. If you are interested call 822-7700. You can also stop by the Preserve ticket office at Valley View Boulevard between U.S. 95 and Alta Drive.
