 LAS VEGAS -- Metro Police arrested two people following a barricade situation Friday at an apartment complex in west Las Vegas.



West Lake Mead Boulevard between Tonopah Drive and Simmons Street reopened to traffic after being closed for nearly three hours during the standoff and the lockdown at West Preparatory Academy was lifted.



According to police, a man barricaded himself inside an apartment after a constable showed up to serve him papers. The constable called police when the man threatened him. There were reports that gunshots could be heard coming from the apartment.



No one was reported injured.
