Metro Police and community leaders want partiers to use better behavior, and they’re launching a new effort to get them to be more responsible.

Officers from Metro’s Downtown Area Command will be holding an event Friday night in front of the newly opened The Park bar at 506 East Fremont Street.

The officers along with members of the Downtown 360 Project, the Safe Community Partnership, Nevada Enforcing Underage Drinking Laws and downtown merchants will spread the message of using good judgment, when enjoying the area’s nightlife.

During Friday’s event, officers will outline Las Vegas City Ordinances that impact the downtown area and point out the mid-block crosswalks along East Fremont Street.

They will also make sure those gathered know about the efforts to stop underage drinking and increase pedestrian safety.
