Fire Damages Downtown Duplex | News

Las Vegas and Clark County firefighters responded to a fire at a duplex Thursday morning.
The fire started around 8:30 a.m. at a duplex near Oakey and Las Vegas Boulevards. When fire crews got there, they found smoke and flames coming from the back of the one-story building.
Crews found that the fire had burned along the roof line and was staring to burn into the attic. Firefighters were able to put the fire out quickly.
No one was hurt in the incident. Fire investigators found that the fire started outside the rear door of the building. Neighbors told investigators that homeless people frequently used the building.
