Early Morning Fire Destroys Bar and Grill | News
LAS VEGAS -- Las Vegas Fire and Rescue crews spent Thursday morning sifting through the rubble left from what used to be King's Row Restaurant Bar and Grill near Sirius Avenue and Valley View Boulevard.
Fire and rescue crews were called to the fire just before 2:30 a.m. Thursday. When they arrived on scene, there was heavy smoke coming out of the building. Fire officials say the bar is connected to a strip mall and one of their main priorities was to keep the fire from spreading.
Tim Szymanksi of Las Vegas Fire and Rescue said firefighters were held back from going into the burning building. He said, unless there were people trapped inside, there was no reason to jeopardize the safety of the firefighters because of the potential for collapse.
About 50 firefighters were needed to help put out the flames. Crews from Las Vegas Fire and Rescue, Clark County Fire Department and North Las Vegas all helped in the effort.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
