LAS VEGAS -- A California man is charged in connection with a two-alarm fire at the Golden Nugget Hotel in March.
Thirty-three-year-old Jerod Pressnell is charged with first degree arson and attempted murder. Pressnell is still at University Medical Center where he continues to recover from injuries he received in the fire.
Pressnell is accused of starting the blaze on the 22nd floor of the Rush Tower on March 15. Firefighters rescued Pressnell from the room where the fire originated. While he is known to be from California, authorities say he is believed to be homeless.
The fire caused less than $1,000 in damage and caused guests to be evacuated.
