The Las Vegas Municipal Court will join the rest of the city on a four-day work week starting Monday.

Effective April 2, the court will be changing its hours to a four-day business week for all public operation. The new business hours from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The court is located in the Regional Justice Center in downtown Las Vegas, 200 Lewis Ave. 

“This new business model will allow the court to provide better overall customer service,” Las Vegas Municipal Court Administrator Matthew Fisk said. “By consolidating services to four days, we will be able to staff more customer service windows and phones, thus reducing wait times and improving customer service.”

The court’s hours are also more consistent with the hours of operation at Las Vegas City Hall, which are 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

In addition to calling or coming into court Monday through Thursday, people with traffic citations in the Las Vegas Municipal Court also have the option to go online to pay their fines at www.lasvegasnevada.gov/municipalcourt.

The Las Vegas Municipal Court hears misdemeanor matters that occur within the city limits.  Such offenses include all criminal misdemeanors, traffic violations and civil ordinance violations not exceeding $2,500, where the city is a party or is benefited thereby, and any other violation of the city of Las Vegas municipal ordinances.
