Tickets to Go On Sale for Big League Weekend | Events
Big League Weekend returns to Cashman Field in March, giving fans a brief taste of Major League Baseball.
Individual game tickets for the exhibition games featuring the Texas Rangers and Chicago Cubs will go on sale at noon Monday, February 18 at the Cashman Field box office.
Tickets also can be purchased through Ticketmaster (1-800-745-3000, www.ticketmaster.com). Ticketmaster outlets are located at some Smith’s Food & Drug stores. Beginning February 18, the Cashman Field box office will be open from noon – 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
The following are the individual game ticket prices for the Rangers/Cubs games on Saturday-Sunday, March 16-17 at Cashman Field at 1:05 p.m.:
- $35 for reserved seats, berm and grandstand
- $45 for plaza seats
- $50 for field seats
The games for the two-game series will feature split squads, meaning not all players will make the trip from Arizona for the contests.
“The Chicago fans, both locally and the tourists that visit during this event, provide a great atmosphere in the ballpark,” 51s Executive Vice President Don Logan said. “We also welcome the Texas Rangers for their second straight visit to Las Vegas. The Rangers are a class organization and have enjoyed great success with two World Series appearances over the last three seasons.”
The Cubs will be returning to Cashman Field for the ninth straight season and will be making their 12th all-time appearance in Las Vegas for Big League Weekend (1993, 1994, 1999, 2005-2013).
The Cubs have recorded 14 sellouts over the past eight seasons (2005-12) for their annual Big League Weekend visits. In 2012, the Cubs total attendance for the two-day event was 18,511. The Rangers defeated the Cubs, 12-7, March 17 before a sellout crowd of 9,889. The Cubs then defeated the Rangers, 3-2, March 18 before a crowd of 8,622.
Texas will be making its second all-time appearance to Cashman Field for Big League Weekend.
The 51s’ home opener is Friday, April 12 against the Colorado Springs Sky Sox at 7:05 p.m. at Cashman Field. Individual game tickets for the 72-game home schedule will go on sale in March.
