A weekend-long wine and jazz festival makes its return to the Golden Nugget in April.

The hotel and casino will host its Fourth Annual Spring Wine & Jazz Fest April 13-15. This festival brings winemakers and winery owners together with people at poolside receptions, wine tastings, cuisine pairings, and silent and live wine auctions.

The signature events will feature more than 250 wines from across the West Coast. Regularly priced at $235 (per person plus taxes,) guests who book in advance can lock in a discounted ticket price of $199 for all three events. Each event can also be purchased separately for full price on the day of the event.

The festival kicks off its events Friday, April 13, with a poolside champagne and wine reception from 8 p.m. - 10 p.m. Guests will have the opportunity to mingle with winemakers, owners and fellow wine enthusiasts while listening to smooth jazz at the property’s pool and shark aquarium, The Tank. Tickets to this event can be purchased individually for $35.

The Grand Tasting takes place Saturday, April 14, as enthusiasts can sample more than 200 wine selections from 60 of California, Oregon and Washington’s wineries. The event will be held in The Grand events center from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. and feature library selections, current vintage releases, live jazz and food from property chefs. Tickets to this event can be purchased individually for $100.

Rounding out the third day of events on Sunday, April 15, is the Champagne and Jazz Brunch from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. in The Grand. Guests can enjoy live jazz while brunch offerings are paired with sparkling wines from Domaine Chandon and Domaine Carneros. Brunch will be followed by a live auction featuring wine lots, large format collector’s bottles and more. Tickets to the brunch and auction can be purchased individually for $100.

In conjunction with the three-day festival, the property is also hosting a variety of other events, as described below by property officials:

Friday, April 13

  • Guests looking to dine like royalty can enjoy A King’s Feast, held in the award-winning Vic & Anthony’s Steakhouse. The medieval-themed soiree begins at 6 p.m. featuring the finest in 16th Century Fare with delectable paired wines. Luring guests in with a uniquely enchanting setting, Vic & Anthony’s sets the tone for a spread worthy of only the finest palates. Reservations for an evening of regal dining can be made for $150.  

Saturday, April 14

  • Vic & Anthony’s Steakhouse hosts a Wine Revolution, as master winemakers explore the tastes of Europe vs. USA. Join two of the nation’s best Master Sommeliers, Guy Stout & Brian Koziol as they guide guests through a contrast of style, taste and terroir. The revolution begins at 1 p.m. and tickets are $45 per person.
  • Master Sommelier Guy Stout will make a second appearance at the Grotto for a Food & Wine Pairings Seminarat 3:30 p.m. Wine enthusiasts are invited to explore the intricate relationship between wine and food, with pairings aimed to suit the flavors that bring out the aroma of fine wines. Tickets for the Food & Wine Pairing Seminar are $25 per person.

Sunday, April 15

  • As the events wind down, the Hideout at H2O serves as an inviting poolside destination on property to conclude this wine weekend. The Hideout will host Winedown with the Winemakers from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. where guests can wind down and enjoy the sun poolside at our posh, adult-only pool and cabana area. Participants can enjoy this last chance to sample more fabulous wines for $25 per person in advance, or $30 at the door.
