Recycle Your Computer at Pre-Earth Day Fair

Going green can be as easy turning in that old computer to be recycled.

Clark County invites you to get an early start on Earth Day by visiting the Government Center to recycle your old computers, drop off recyclables and learn about improving your home’s energy efficiency.

The county and its community partners are hosting an early Earth Day fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 18 at the Government Center rotunda in downtown Las Vegas at 500 S. Grand Central Parkway. The event is free.

Participants in the fair include:

  • The Blind Center of Nevada, which will allow people to drop off their old computers for cleaning the hard drives and recycling and provide information about proper disposal of e-waste.
  • Green Chips, which will provide information about how to retrofit your home to make it more energy-efficient.
  • Republic Services, which will provide information about recycling.
  • Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada, which will provide information about ride-sharing, cycling initiatives, bus service and other efforts.
  • Clark County Water Reclamation District, which will provide information about the safe disposal of pharmaceuticals, household chemicals and other substances that should not be dumped into local drains.
