Hundreds of Students Ready to Perform in All-Stars Showcase

More than 700 at-risk students will show off their talents during the 8th annual All-Star Showcase Thursday at the Springs Preserve.

The students are all part of the After-School All-Stars Las Vegas, an after-school program that works to keep kids out of trouble by providing positive activities.

The showcase will feature a mariachi band, choir, hip-hop, cheer and karate performances from kids in 12 local elementary schools. The students have spent the past several months getting ready for this week's showcase.

The showcase will be from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Springs Preserve Amphitheater, 333 S. Valley View Parkway.
