Variety School Celebrates Opening of New Campus | Education & Schools
A new campus serving special needs students in southern Nevada celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Monday morning.
The Clark County School District held a ceremony to commemorate the opening of the new Variety School campus, which serves a student population comprised of special needs children.
The larger facility is equipped with vocational education areas, a student kitchen, recycling center, laundry center and graphics center.
CCSD partnered with the Cleveland Clinic to feature three demonstration classrooms at the new campus, which will be used by Cleveland Clinic specialists to train Variety School teachers and paraeducators about educating students with autism and other special needs.
The new Variety School campus was built using funds approved by voters in 1998.
