Police Search for Man Who Robbed Business and Customer

 

Metro Police are looking for man who robbed a business in the area of Rancho Drive and Washington Avenue last month.

The crime happened just before 7 p.m. August 10. According to police, the man walked into the business, showed the clerk a handgun and demanded everyone in the business get on the ground.

The gunman took money from the business and from a customer. He then left the area on foot.

He is described as a black man, 6-foot and between 175 and 185 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair, which may have been in dreadlocks. He also has a goatee. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a red hat, dark sunglasses, a black bandana over his mouth and nose, white pants and a black sweater with a picture of someone with his fist in air on the front.

Police Search for Two Men Who Stole Beer

 

Metro Police are looking for two men who stole beer from a convenience store and pushed a clerk in the process.

The two men walked into the store in the 4000 block of West Washington Avenue August 11. The suspects got beer from the cooler and walked to the exit. The clerk tried to stop the suspects from leaving without paying. That is when the suspects forced the clerk to the ground. A customer who tried to intervene and help the clerk was also threatened.

The first suspect is described as a Hispanic man between the ages of 18 and 20. He has a tattoo on his right forearm and a jaw-line beard. At the time of the robber, he was wearing a black baseball cap with a white logo, black shirt, black shorts and gray and black shoes.

The second suspect is described as a Hispanic man between the ages of 18 and 20. He was wearing a black shirt, red and black shorts with a stripe down the sides and along the hem and red shoes.

Metro Police are searching for a man who robbed a bank near Charleston Boulevard and Rancho Drive Thursday.

According to police, the suspect walked into the bank just before 4 p.m., armed with a handgun. The suspect walked directly to the teller windows and demanded money. Two tellers gave the suspect money and he ran from the bank.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 50s. He is 5-foot-8 and 200 pounds. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a green polo shirt and khaki shorts.

Police Search for Suspect in Bank Robbery

Metro Police are searching for a man they say robbed a bank in the area of Las Vegas Boulevard and Fremont Street.

The crime happened Tuesday, August 7 just before 4 p.m.

Police say the suspect gave the teller a note demanding money. The teller gave the suspect money, and the man left the bank.

The suspect is described as a white man between 50 and 70 years old. He is 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10 and between 160 and 170 pounds. He has a full blond or gray beard that reaches to the middle of his chest. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a tan hat, dark shirt and light-colored pants.

Defendant Gets Court Date in Lounge Slaying

 

LAS VEGAS (AP) -- A court date is set for a Henderson man accused of chasing and fatally shooting a 43-year-old Las Vegas man after fistfight outside a West Las Vegas neighborhood bar.

Court records show that 46-year-old Brenton Earl Smith is due for arraignment Wednesday before a Las Vegas judge in the early July 22 slaying of Oliver Hooker outside the Seven Seas Lounge near Lake Mead Boulevard and H Street.

Witnesses including a bar security guard told police that Hooker punched Smith in the face before Smith pulled a gun Hooker and allegedly fired 12 shots as Hooker tried to flee.

Hooker collapsed with a leg wound in a storefront church parking lot, and died later at University Medical Center in Las Vegas.

Police arrested Smith and seized a weapon from him.

Police Release Video in Hopes of Finding a Killer

Metro Police have released surveillance video in hopes of finding the person who murdered a Las Vegas man in June.

Louis James Kim was found near Sahara Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard just before 8:30 p.m. June 21. He had been stabbed. He died at University Medical Center later that night.

Video surveillance images show Kim walking eastbound along Baltimore Avenue. In the video, the suspect is seen stepping out of an alleyway and heading southbound. The suspect passes a few feet in front of Kim. He then turns back and attacks him.

The suspect did not rob Kim. Police believe the attack may have been random.

The suspect was wearing a dark colored hoodie and black shorts with a light colored stripe on the leg. He was last seen walking in the alleyway that runs north and south across from the 7-Eleven at 200 E. Boston Avenue.
