Globe Salon's recent benefit cut-a-thon on March 13 raised a total of $2,718 for the American Foundation for Children with AIDS (AFCA).

The total amount raised will be donated to the AFCA, in support of Globe Salon hairstylist Samantha O'Brien's upcoming trek to Kilimanjaro with the American Foundation for Children with AIDS. Details on the trek and the AFCA can be found at http://www.helpchildrenwithaids.org.

The successful fundraiser was supported by Globe Salon’s bodega neighbor at SoHo Lofts, Resnick's Grocery, which provided complimentary beverages and donated a portion of sales made during the event. Also supporting the event was Johnny McGuire's Deli (located at Town Square), which generously provided complimentary sandwich platters to serve guests of the event.
