Local Red Cross trained 115 people at Gabrielle Giffords Save-a-Life Saturday

This Saturday was the 'Gabrielle Giffords Honorary Save-a-Life Saturday’ event, hosted by the American Red Cross. Here in Southern Nevada, 115 members of the community participated, learning how to perform hands-free CPR.

“Neighbors helping neighbors is the first line of defense in any disaster or tragedy,” says Scott Emerson, Chief Executive Officer of the Southern Nevada Chapter.  “We now have an additional 115 people in our community who have the skills to save a life.”

For community members interested in learning more about the event or hands free CPR, videos can be found online at www.redcross.org/savealife, or call 702-531-0237 to enroll in a class.
