Foster Kids Celebrate and Perform Harlem Shake

Foster kids and their supporters capped off National Foster Care Month by participating in an internet craze known as the Harlem Shake.

The event held at the Clark County Government Center Thursday was not just about having fun performing a dance. It was also about celebrating the 3,000 kids in foster care in southern Nevada, as well as the 550 licensed homes that support them.

"There are so many great people involved and willing to help. I think it is great that we can really celebrate them, and celebrate the great kids that we have," former foster child Anny Anderson said.

Kids and parents enjoyed live entertainment and food. Plus, they were given information about resources meant to help foster kids succeed.
