The city of Las Vegas will host its first Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dream Fest on Monday, Jan. 16, from 2-6 p.m. at Edmond Town Center, located at H Street and Owens Avenue.

The event will be a free community gathering that will include food and cultural vendors, car, truck and motorcycle shows, a chili cook-off and entertainment and activities for the entire family.

Vendors, car owners and chili cookers interested in participating in the event should visit the Dream Fest web page at www.lasvegasnevada.gov/mlkdreamfest to print out an application form. The web page also has details on where the form can be mailed and how to pay any associated fees. Forms and payments must be turned in to the address listed on the applications by Dec. 21.
