Students in Need Go Back to School Shopping

The Salvation Army teamed with Target to provide 58 students in need with a chance to go back to school shopping Tuesday.

The students were given $80 gift cards to use at the Target near Decatur Boulevard and Meadows Lane. The kids bought school supplies and clothing. One woman was able to get help for her six children.

"Financially it helps hugely. Anything we can get help with is a blessing. It truly is. I'm a single mom working trying to take care of my own. We can only do what we can do and it's just a beautiful thing that a community service helps out," said Ghenica Sinclair.

The money came from donations to The Salvation Army and from Target.  "The economy has been such a difficult time for our families, so we're just so grateful that we're able to come along and help along this way," said Rhonda Lloyd a major at The Salvation Army.
