First Friday Includes Creative Freedom Activities

The theme of this month’s First Friday Las Vegas is unleashing the artist within.

The festival will encourage attendees to celebrate the freedom to be creative. The festival is from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., in the arts district. Besides the open galleries and live music performances, the event will include several free events designed to bring out people’s creativity.

  • Freedom Wall – Casino Center south of Charleston Boulevard. The public will have access to paints and brushes to help create a collaborative mural.
  • Raku Firing – East of Casino Center on California Avenue. Clay Arts Vegas will be demonstrating a pottery technique using low-heat glazes on ceramics.
  • Om Love Yoga Experience – Casino Center between California and Colorado Avenues. Free yoga classes and workshops provided by Lululemon. Participants should bring their own mat and towel.
  • Free Painting Classes – Fremont Street between 6th Street and Las Vegas Boulevard. Social Paintbrush will provide two free lessons between 7 and 8:30 p.m. and 9 and 10:30 p.m.
