Metro releases surveillance video of person of interest in deadly downtown stabbing

Homicide Detectives are seeking the public's help in identifying a person of interest in a homicide that occurred on March 23.

According to police, at approximately 7:21 a.m. a woman entered a bar located in the 900 block of North Las Vegas Boulevard and reported to the bartender that there was someone lying outside of the building who appeared to be bleeding. The woman called police and arriving officers and medical personnel located an adult male dead from apparent stab wounds.

The Clark County Coroner's office identified the victim as 66-year-old Howard Chris Drew.

The investigation led homicide detectives to believe the deadly stabbing occurred at a location near the area where the victim was found.

The person on the video that police want to talk to is described as a black man who was last seen wearing a white hat, grey jacket with black sleeves, dark pants and grey shoes.
