UPDATE: Northwest valley barricade suspect in custody

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) has taken a domestic disturbance suspect who barricaded himself in his home Thursday morning into custody.

According to police, patrol officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the northwest part of the valley around 9:06 a.m. on Dans Glen Place, near S. Cimarron Road and W. Charleston Boulevard. The surrounding homes were evacuated as a precaution.

According to police, a male threatened family members with a firearm and barricaded himself inside the residence.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department says there are no injuries reported. This incident remains under investigation.
