Fatal Moped Accident Victim Remembered

LAS VEGAS - Things were beginning to go Terrance Harris's way. He found a job and was working to support his girlfriend and their brand new baby girl Aryelle. An accident on Aug. 11 changed all that when it claimed Terrance's life.

"It was really hard, especially in the hospital, ‘cause I watched him pass, and I don't know what to explain to my kids," his girlfriend Brandice Dirden said.

His family and friends gathered Wednesday night for a vigil near Martin Luther King Boulevard and Symphony Park Drive, the same spot where the crash happened. They lit candles, prayed and released balloons to remember his life.

"It's good to see all the support and love. It's great to see he was a person that everybody cared for and was around," said Terrance's brother Marquan Thomas.

Terrance was on his way home, when police say he lost control of his moped. He was hit by an SUV that couldn't avoid him.
